How old are you & what sports do you play?
I'm 12 years old as of February 1st, and I play ice hockey.
What has hockey taught you that you think you'll use later in life?
I think hockey had taught me to respect others, to use leadership to work with your teams and others in general, and responsibility.
What are 3 words that describe the impact sports has had on you?
Leadership, respect, and confidence.
How do you feel when you accomplish something you never have before on the ice?
I feel like our team is really working together, and is communicating which is key to winning. Also when someone scores a game winning goal all of your teammates thank you for what your doing and it makes you feel good and that your making people respect you, and learn off you. So all and all its such a good feeling from your perspective and other people's perspective.
Who is your role model? What do you want to be when you grow up?
My role model is from the NHL and his name is Drew Doughty, he's on the Los Angeles Kings team, I want to be a pro hockey player for the WNHL (women's National hockey league)
What advice would you give to your 5-year-old self?
I would tell my self to trust your gut, stand up for your self, keep training, and be the best you can be.
What are the top 3 you have to be to succeed in your sport?
You have to be working for the game, work as a team, and trust yourself that you can do it.
Anything else you want to tell us about hockey that we may not know?
You definitely need a great amount of respect for the people you play with, and a great love for the game.
What is your greatest memory from hockey?
My greatest memory is when my Mite team and I won the Thanksgiving festival tournament. My favorite day is when I started to play hockey.
What's the latest thing you've accomplished?
The latest thing I've accomplished is getting through a hole week of hockey for 6 hours everyday.
What are your goals for this year?
My goals are to go to the state championship and to be team captain.
